Kevin deDelley - President
Kevin isretired part time fuel pump attendant after having retired from CP Rail after over 30 years. Kevin started curling around 45 years ago in Manitoba. He competed through high school at the Hillcrest curling club and later at Bushell Park Curling Club. He continues to league curl at the new MJFCC. Kevin was heavily involved in league and Prairie Region Championships during his time with the railroad. He is looking forward to serving on the Curl MJ committee to strengthen the club for current and future members.
Donna Ackerman - Vice-President
Donna is married with 2 children who are both curling competitively, one of which recently represented Saskatchewan at the Canada Winter Games (proud mom). She farms with her husband and their family at Chamberlain. Donna grew up at the curling rink in Alameda and curled competitively for a number of years including curling at a Junior Provincial before being sidelined by an injury. She is actively involved at coaching the Peacock Collegiate as well as volunteering for Youth League. She has recently become more involved in league play and looks forward to serving on the Curl MJ Board to help develop young curlers and strengthen the club for future members. She volunteered for the 2012 Canada Cup and 2015 Scotties Tournament of Hearts and looks forward to more events coming to Moose Jaw.
Candace Hagerman - Treasurer
Candace has lived in Moose Jaw for 23 years. She has 2 children, both boys and 3 step children, 2 boys and a girl. She is employed by the SGI as an Insurance Adjuster for both Property and Automobile. Candace has served on various sports board in Moose Jaw. She sat on the Moose Jaw Minor Hockey board, and generally managed managed her boys hockey teams or sat on the tournament committee. She was the registrar and executive board member of Moose Jaw Kinsmen Minor Football (MJKMF) for 5 years. In her time their, they expanded the 2 level divisions of Pee Wee and Bantam football to include an Atom and Learn to Play division which increased overall membership. She has been the chair for the annual SGI curling bonspiel twice. She curled all through elementary school, some in high school, and recreationally over the last 23 years here in Moose Jaw. Now that her children are mostly grown, she would like to utilize her time to support a sport that she is interested in! She looks forward to helping in any way she can to develop curling here in Moose Jaw.
Moose Gibson - Secretary
Moose has lived in Moose Jaw since 1993 and is retired from the Canadian Armed Forces. He has a long history in sport organizations here in the provincial and nationally through softball and the military. He caught the curling bug late in life and looks forward to doing what he can to promote the sport.
Joe Gunnis - League Rep
Joe is Director of Operations at Triple 4 Advertising. Joe started curling in Estevan and remains an avid league curler. He spent many years on the Hillcrest Curling Management Board and was key in bringing initiatives such as curling clinics and Tour events to Moose Jaw. He has volunteered for numerous curling events including the 2012 Junior Women’s Provincial’s and 2012 Canada Cup, as well as the 2015 Scotties Tournament of Hearts.
